Fact Sheet Fusion Update v1.0.51 Release Notes

Note you can check your FSF version number via the Help...About menu. Click anywhere within the About dialog to close it.

Changes and Enhancements
The FSF database structure has been changed slightly to accommodate some improvements and additions. Upgrading from an older FSF database is via the import database process. You will receive details about upgrading when attempting to open an older database.

Transform to XML - Allows fact sheets to exported as XML, rather than HTML.

Transform RAW - will export the HTML based content without modification to the underlying HTML structure. If you export to XML you'll notice the Topics and caption text wrapped in CDATA tags to accommodate this.

Define alternative Image Store Location - allows you to select a custom image folder for the fact sheets. This may be useful for example if exporting fact sheets to a Lucid key as it allows the images to exported to the keys image folder which is located at the same level as the HTML folder. This would remove the need to have a duplicate set of images within the key and the fact sheets.

Export Media List - This option will generate a 'media.xml' file along with the fact sheets. This XML file contains a list of all entities and their associated media items, including captions. This file can also be used to import data into other applications.

Place image caption into copyright field - To support Lucid's use of the Media XML file FSF gives you the choice of where you would prefer the image captions to be located - Copyright field or comments field.

HTML Caption - You can apply a label to each entity fact sheet within the media file. In the case of Lucid it would use this label in the fact sheet connection to an Entity. E.g. a common HTML caption is 'Fact sheet'.

Bug Fixes

Fixed numerous minor bugs introduced with Vista and Win7.

Fixed an export bug in the file format of fact sheets to UTF-8.

Fixed minor bugs in the import/export process.

Fixed bug in image names and labels in languages other than English. Also made a number of changes and enhancements to support other languages. Though please note English is the officially supported language for FSF.

GIF's now convert to PNG due to poor resize quality using the GIF format. Transparency should be maintained for standard formats.

Resized images (Thumbnails and large editions) now retain all meta-data found in the original image.

Fixed bug within the export option "Define alternative Image Store Location" if the destination was within the HTML folder.

Note for the Skip Media Option: If you elect to export fact sheets with the "Skip Media" selected and your fact sheets contain no images - this is by design. It means you have selected a destination that doesn't already contain a copy of the media or it may have been the first export (with this option selected). To enable images ensure this option is not checked, at least for one export to the selected destination.
