Due to increased security IIS no longer serves any files found within its web folders. Each file type served by IIS now needs its mime type defined.

The Lucid3 applet requests key files that need their mime type defined in order for it to be hosted on an IIS 6 server.

They are:

.dep
.fil
.sco
.data
.lkc3 or .lkc4 (depending on which version of Lucid you have.)

The mime type for these files should be set as: ‘octet-stream'.

For further information on this and how to set mime types on IIS please see:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326965

If this has not been implemented the Lucid3 applet player will throw the following error 'missing resource'.

For the equivalent article on Lucid Phoenix, please see the following forum post.
